Raising awareness of gender equality

A project designed and implemented in collaboration with Uber which aims to create an educational and comedic podcast about masculinities, gender equality, and raising awareness regarding the multiple problems that surround gender violence. The main objective of the podcast is to foster an empathetic vision in drivers who serve on the Uber platform around gender relations in their daily work. The podcast is divided in three episode that approach three main thematic lines: the context surrounding gender inequality; how to develop empathy between the driver and the platform’s users, and the gradual development of life skills.

Examining gender and its social implications

Workshop designed to be implemented with adolescents between 13 and 18 years of age. Its objective is to talk with the participants about gender and the power relationships that are derived from it in the school environment and in their daily life.

This project is aimed towards lawyers who seek to improve their oral expression and strategic communication to litigate in the new accusatory penal system in Mexico. Through theater and games litigants are able to acquire persuasion skills, oral expression, and inquiry tools to present their cases.

A consulting project given to the NGO Educación para Compartir. The objective of this collaboration was to design the program “Arte para compartir,” which seeks to decrease school dropouts and create active citizens through the development of life skills and the construction of a life project.

This workshop was carried out in the Héroe de Nacozari school in the La Raza neighborhood of Mexico City. Its principal objective was to promote communication strategies to combat problems of school violence.

Collaboration with Talentum

Project of the Interdisciplinary Program of Educational Policies and Practices (PIPE) of the Economic Research and Teaching Center (CIDE), whose objective is to identify and support upper-secondary and higher education students “with exceptional mathematical talent, in particular those coming from socioeconomically disadvantaged homes, to contribute to social mobility in the country and strengthen the base of human capital that creates innovation, scientific development, and economic growth” (PIPE, 2016). The identified students receive a variety of support, which includes the workshops designed and implemented by ACTO, some of which have been workshops on assertive communication, improvisation, oral communication, examining gender and its social implications, among others.
